By The Order of the Air Force Chief of Staff:
The Air Force has now been mobilized for the Fleet wide deployment to Southeast Asia in support of Operation Crimson Spear. The reason for this deployment is to prevent the launching of a missile from N. Korea. ACC will be heavily utilized for this. Here is a list the squadrons and where they will be operating.
Task Force Japan: Misawa Air Base (RJSM)
13th BS x2 B-2
308th FS x4 F-16C
389th FS x2 F-15E
966th ACS x1 E-3
Task Force Hawaii: Kickam Air Force Base (PHNL)
389th FS x2 F-15C/D
966th ACS x1 E-3
Task Force Japan will be providing close air support, air to ground strikes, air interdiction, command and control, and airborne surveillance along the border of S. Korea and N. Korea. We will also be working in close conjunction with the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps.
Task Force Hawaii will be on alert for a ICBM launch as well a command and control, and airborne surveillance.
